Dr. K. C. Nischal is as astute Dermatologist with humble background. Dr. Nischal started his medical career on merit at Mysore Medical College, Mysuru which is a premier medical school and the first to be established in Karnataka by Sri Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV in 1924. On the basis of good ranking achieved at All India Medical Entrance test, Dr. Nischal secured a Post graduate course in Dermatology to the prestigious Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai in 2002. Being a dedicated and hard working student, he was liked by his teachers, mentors and fellow residents. He stayed back after his post-graduation and worked as a Clinical Research Assistant at Seth GS Medical College. His presentation at conference won the Manu Patel Award. Based on his excellent academics and publications, he was awarded Stiftung Dermatologikum, a fully sponsored Fellowship to pursue further Dermatology Knowledge and Skills at Dermatologikum Hamburg, Germany.

He was mentored by Prof (Dr) Volker Steinkraus and Dr. Almut Böer-Auer at Dermatologikum. He was introduced to Aesthetic Dermatology by Dr. Welf Prager, a Plastic Surgeon at Dermatologikum. Many publications and chapters in text books were accomplished due to the intense training and hard work. He is Editorial Board Member and Reviewer of various Dermatological and Dermatosurgical journals.

Dr. Nischal moved back to Bengaluru in 2006. Being passionate about teaching and training, Dr. Nischal joined Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences as an Assistant Professor in Dermatology Department. His publications and other academic feats secured him timely promotion as an Associate Professor. His Dermatology knowledge and practice became complete by working and serving Kaya Skin Clinics, a chain of Aesthetic Dermatology Clinics as a Medical Advisor and Senior Consultant. He handled clinics at Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Vizag for about 12 years! He was involved in training junior Dermatologists, treating challenging aesthetic cases and catering to his own clientele!!

Along with Dr. Urmila, Nirmal Skin and Hair Clinic was established in 2008. The new Dermatology practice started as a small humble centre at Vijayanagar, Bengaluru. Clinical Dermatology, Aesthetic Dermatology and Dermatopathology practice by Drs. Nischal and Urmila Nischal led to its expansion from 180 sft clinic to 1500 sft clinic within 5 years. Bigger premises saw the introduction of various laser technologies and other aesthetic procedures in routine Dermatology practice. He is actively involved with Bangalore Dermatology Society, Indian Association of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology and Association of Cutaneous Surgeons of India. In recognition of his services to Dermatology and the Dermatology association, he was awarded Young Dermatologist Award in 2016.

In 2021, Dr. Nischal, ably supported by Dr. Urmila expanded their clinic to sprawling, State of Art Aesthetic and Clinical Dermatology centre of 7500 sft in Vijayanagar, Bengaluru. Courteous nature, dedication, quest for learning and commitment to train has made Dr. Nischal deliver the best treatment and solutions to his patients and clients alike!!
